About Us
Shepard Motors was founded in 1948 by Ted & Dick Shepard and was located on West Avenue in Rochester New York. In 1954, Shepard Motors purchased a Ford dealership in Canandaigua and the company changed its name to Shepard Ford.
Shepard Ford switched locations in 1959, moving to a new establishment on South Main Street in Canandaigua.
In 1972, Shepard Ford moved yet again to its current location on Eastern Boulevard. The company was passed on to Tom and Ted Jr. in 1980, Tom
and Ted Jr. still run the business today.
